Who this policy covers
This policy describes the Orlando Dog Parks directory, an independent website. It does not describe the practices of the City of Orlando, Orange County, or websites you visit through our links. Contact the directory through the contact form, choosing “Privacy request,” for questions or deletion requests.
Information you choose to provide
Forms collect the fields you submit: your name, email, optional phone number, message, and any business, service-request or review details. We also record when you agreed to the Terms & Conditions and which version you accepted, to document your submission agreement. We use those details to process submissions, moderate listings and reviews, respond to messages, and organize requests for future local pet services.
What becomes public
Approved reviews show the display name, visit date, rating, review text and publication date. Approved business listings show business details, including the public business phone and website you submit. Private contact emails, service requests and contact messages are not published.
Sharing service requests
Provider matching is not active at launch. If you separately opt in to future sharing, your request and contact details may later be sent to relevant local pet businesses. A request without that optional consent stays with the directory team. We do not sell contact messages or review emails.
Hosting, maps and outside links
The site is hosted with Zeabur. Hosting infrastructure can process technical connection information such as IP addresses and request logs. Our interactive map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap; loading the map shares your IP address, browser information and referring page with that provider. See OpenStreetMap Foundation’s privacy policy. Directions open Google Maps. Our merchandise promotion links to our separate Shopify store, which has its own privacy policy and checkout. Following that link shares normal connection information with Shopify. These services have their own policies.
Cookies and analytics
We use first-party site analytics to understand which public pages are useful. A random browser cookie, odp_visit, lasts up to 30 days from creation. It is restricted to this site and is not shared with advertisers or other websites. It lets us estimate distinct browsers across a selected 7- or 30-day UTC reporting period; it does not identify a person. Different devices or browsers, cleared or blocked cookies, private browsing and expiry can overcount people; a shared browser can undercount them. We use no fingerprinting. Optional Google Analytics is described separately below.
We store daily pageviews by normalized public path, broad device category, referring domain, short safe UTM source, medium and campaign labels, and approximate city, region and country when a trusted source is available. Missing location data is Unknown. Referrals and campaign labels remain associated with active navigation for 30 minutes. We never save raw IP addresses, full referring URLs, full query strings or raw browser descriptions in analytics storage. No IP is sent to an external geolocation service by this analytics code. Optional approximate location can be derived through a configured local resolver or verified hosting ingress data; the IP is then discarded from analytics.
Only a keyed hash of the random browser ID is stored alongside daily report dimensions for the most recent 30 UTC calendar days. That membership is removed at startup and daily when no longer needed for the reporting period; expired rows can await the next cleanup for up to 24 hours. Aggregate counts are retained to preserve traffic history, including the original daily totals. Historical records before enhanced tracking contain pageviews only, with their original broad source and device categories; unique visitors and other missing details are not backfilled.
We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control by excluding those requests from analytics. Admin pages, recognized automation and prefetches are excluded. After a signed-in administrator opens their dashboard, an odp_analytics_optout cookie excludes their public browsing for 30 days. Bot filtering is approximate. An essential secure cookie authenticates administrators for eight hours. Analytics reports and exports are restricted to authorized administrators. Map tile requests may be cached by your browser. Fonts, photos and site scripts are served from this site.
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics,” we load Google Analytics 4 (property Measurement ID G-JE14181PJF) on park, city, neighborhood and field-guide pages and the homepage to measure visits, sessions, engagement and broad traffic sources. Google receives technical connection information, including your IP address during transmission, and may derive approximate location. Analytics cookies distinguish browsers; Google Analytics cookies normally expire after up to two years. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization. Our integration omits URL query strings and fragments, sends only the referring site’s origin, and does not measure form submissions or administrator pages. Google Analytics stays off until you opt in, and stays off when Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control or our administrator opt-out is active. Your optional analytics preference is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change it; withdrawing permission removes this site’s accessible Google Analytics cookies and stops collection on the reloaded page. Blocking optional analytics does not prevent use of the directory. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics handles data. The first-party directory statistics described above remain separate. Historical directory counts cannot be imported as verified GA4 sessions.
Advertising measurement
We also keep daily campaign-and-placement totals for server-rendered advertisements, browser-reported visible exposure and link activations. Public ad measurement uses no tracking cookies or visitor identifiers and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. A random anonymous receipt prevents repeat events for one rendered unit; it stays only in server memory, expires after 30 minutes or a restart, and cannot connect visitors across pages. Ad links go directly to their destinations; no personal information is attached by this measurement. Visibility and click reports may be incomplete or inaccurate and do not measure unique visitors, purchases or conversions. Only daily aggregate totals are stored for up to 395 days.
Storage and retention
Submissions are stored in the directory’s private database. Unpublished reviews, pending listings, contact messages and service requests are deleted after 180 days. Approved public listings and reviews remain until withdrawn or removed. Backups, if maintained by the operator, may retain copies until replaced. Temporary rate-limit records are held in memory to reduce spam.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion, and withdraw consent to future lead sharing, through the contact form. Use the same contact details as your original submission and include its reference number if available. We may need to verify the request before making changes.
Children and sensitive information
The forms are intended for adults. Please do not submit financial details, identity documents, medical records or other sensitive information. Do not include another person’s private contact details in a public review.
